The beach from Battle Rock to Hubbard Creek will be closed to ALL VEHICLE TRAFFIC ON JULY 4TH. Exception – vehicles necessary for the dinghy races. The beach from Battle Rock to the big rock known as “Cabbage Rock” in the middle of the beach (marked with barricade tape) will be completely closed to the public, including foot traffic, at 3:00pm. It will not re-open until after the fireworks show is over and the Fire Department has left the beach. These mandatory closures, per State Fire Marshall and our insurance carrier, ensure the safety of the public and Fire Department personnel. These closures will be STRICTLY ENFORCED, as large quantities of pyrotechnics will be present. No personal fireworks are allowed on the beach or at Battle Rock Park.
